My korero will be based on the whānau o Puaka as understood by myself after 50 years of learning and capturing wanaga of our Southern Māori People (Rapuwai, Waitaha, Hāwea, Kāti Māmoe and Kāi Tahu)

We will explore the southern whakapapa of our celestial bodies including Pūaka, Takurua, Autahi, Pūtara, Kaipo, Kākapa and Mahutoka. I will include a brief look at the unique southern lifestyles that the stars influenced and a rare sharing of the whakapapa of the sun and moon in Kāti Huirapa narrative.
