Pop in for a coffee, kai and practice your kōrero, thanks to Aropapaki. 

An opportunity to brush up on your te reo in a safe and caring learning environment. 

For beginners it's a great opportunity to learn key greetings and place names for Te Manahuna (Mackenzie Region). 

All abilities welcome. Limited availability (first in, first served).

About Aropapaki: 

“Me aropapaki te whiu” – be single minded in your pursuit, like waves pounding against the cliff face. 

Aropapaki Ltd operate in the language revitalisation arena, working towards the reclamation and normalisation of te reo Māori within our whānau and our communities. Of Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe and Kāi Tahu descent, Darren, Karuna and their whānau are all passionate advocates for te reo Māori. They look forward to seeing you at the drop-in Café Reo sessions at the Dark Sky Project for some fun, easy and safe te reo Māori games and activities focused on place names, greetings and farewells, strategies for pronunciation, sayings and of course the stars of Matariki. Nau mai, tauti mai e te iwi.
