Join Ūpoko David Higgins for a guided walk through Takapō lakefront and discover the rich cultural history of this remarkable landscape.
David will share the stories, traditions and mātauraka of Te Manahuna, exploring the significance of traditional travel routes, mahika kai, wāhi taoka and Māori place names. Gain a unique insight into the deep connection between mana whenua and the Mackenzie Basin while experiencing the landscape through a cultural lens.
Hīkoi suitable for most ages. Dress warm with good footwear.
